Here is someone who; came,saw,was and was touched enough to take initiative of trying to make the place she was volunteering better than she'd actually found it.She rallied her friends and family form home who were literally a thousand miles from where she was and by the end of it all partnered with other interns she was volunteering with who are now her friends and decided to improve on what the previous interns had done.
Sofia together with Rodostalenia and Angelika both of whom are from Greece took the initiative to improve the roofing of the classes so as to prevent the students books from being drenched once the rain began leaking into the classrooms thus helping ensure that the kids would never get to worry about loosing there reading material once it began to rain.Not to mention the many books she together with Angelika and Rodostalenia bought and the library they created for the kids.
Did i mention Brave....yes! BRAVE it just so happens that the school is situated in not the cleanest and most attractive of places,so there is this one particular time when Sofia was teaching class 6 science and right outside the school compound there was a police shootout with thieves that were not older that 19 years old.What's the brave thing about that you wonder well here is what Sofia did,She still showed up to volunteer after such an ordeal had happened at such close range.I bet that can rank as one of her highlight in her time volunteering.
It was most a pleasure to have her volunteer,Sofia was heavily involved in almost everything in the school during her time volunteering...
